AWS DevOps EngineerSalary: £75,000 - £80,000 plus benefits, pension & healthcare optionsLocation: UK Wide | Occasional travel to either central London or ManchesterJob Type: Permanent | HybridRequirements: Active SC Clearance and Sole UK nationalityThe Opportunity:We're looking for experienced AWS Cloud Native DevOps Engineers to join engineering teams delivering secure, scalable and resilient cloud platforms.You'll be working across complex, mission-critical environments, helping organisations modernise their technology estates through AWS, automation, Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.This is a hands-on engineering opportunity where you'll have the chance to solve challenging infrastructure problems, improve cloud platforms and work alongside experienced engineers, architects and technical stakeholders.What You'll Be Doing:Design, deploy and manage secure AWS cloud infrastructureBuild Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or PulumiDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery processesImplement effective monitoring, logging and observabilityAutomate infrastructure and operational tasks through scriptingWork with Agile engineering teams, architects and stakeholdersTroubleshoot, optimise and continuously improve cloud environmentsImplement cloud security best practices, including Zero TrustEvaluate and adopt new cloud-native and DevOps technologiesWhat We're Looking For:Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, ideally within secure or regulated environmentsExperience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, CloudFormation or PulumiPractical experience with CI/CD, using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or ArgoCDExperience with Docker and KubernetesStrong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash or PowerShellGood understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing and security groupsExperience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or CloudWatchUnderstanding of cloud security and Zero Trust principlesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilityExperience working within Agile delivery environmentsSecurity Clearance: Active SC clearance is essential.
