Chef (Fixed-Term Contract - 12 Months)

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Defence on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract , working 40 hours per week .

As a Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days. Joining the UK's leading food service company, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, work within a supportive team, and make a real impact every day.

Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days

What You'll Be Doing
Preparing delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers
Supporting the planning and implementation of menu changes
Identifying opportunities to improve food quality and service delivery
Listening and responding to customer feedback to enhance the dining experience
Assisting with the development of new menus and creative food concepts
Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory management
Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
Ensuring compliance with Food Handling, Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations

What We're Looking For
A genuine passion for great food and excellent customer service
City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ qualification, or equivalent
Previous experience in a Chef role
Experience supervising or supporting a kitchen team
Food Hygiene Certificate
A flexible and positive approach to work
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced catering environment
