The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a dynamic Chief Operating Officer within a successful and growing organisation. This is a pivotal role, suited to a commercially minded EA who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident operating at senior leadership level.Ideally, you will have experience supporting senior executives within a manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or operational business, with the ability to understand complex business priorities and act as a trusted right-hand partner to the COO.
This home-based role offers flexibility alongside occasional travel across the East Midlands and to key business locations when required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level, confidential executive support to the COO.
Manage a complex and ever-changing diary, ensuring effective prioritisation of meetings and commitments.
Coordinate national and international travel arrangements, itineraries and logistics.
Prepare presentations, reports, board papers and briefing documents.
Act as a key point of contact on behalf of the COO, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Attend senior leadership meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions through to completion.
Support strategic projects and business initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met.
Coordinate leadership team meetings, events and company communications.
Manage confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Anticipate business needs and proactively resolve issues before they arise.
Support with operational reporting and business performance documentation where required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Significant experience as an Executive Assistant supporting Director, COO, Managing Director or Board-level executives.
Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, FMCG or a similarly operational environment would be highly advantageous.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
