As a member of our kitchen team you would be expected to;
Prepare, cook and present dishes to existing specifications
Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking station
Work independently or/and as part of a team
Optimize the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
Ensure to have and maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and follow the rules of health and safety
Monitor portion and waste control
Manage stock rotation
Work across the different sections of the kitchen (pass, pans, grill, fryer etc)
Adhere to opening and closing routines
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Experience in a Chef role, ideally within Mediterranean cuisine (Tapas/Mezes)
Knowledge of best cooking practices
Experience of different cooking methods using a range of equipment and ingredients
Able to work under pressure
The ability to build effective and constructive relationships
The ability to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely
Relevant food handling qualifications
