M&E Engineer

  • Hybrid

Job Description

Ready to take ownership and drive growth in a thriving consultancy? We’re looking for a Senior Engineer or Associate Engineer to join our expanding M&E Engineering team at Hollis, based in our vibrant Manchester office. This is a genuine growth role—perfect for someone who wants to make a real impact, take the reins, and help shape the future of our M&E service in the North West.

You’ll be joining a dynamic, multi‑skilled office with an established client base and a strong pipeline of work. Our Manchester team is known for its collaborative spirit and entrepreneurial mindset, and you’ll be essential in supporting the ongoing success and expansion of our M&E offering.

What makes this role stand out?

  • Growth Opportunity: You’ll have the autonomy to take ownership, develop client relationships, and play a pivotal role in the evolution of our M&E service.
  • Established Clients: Step into a role with a solid foundation—our reputation and client base in the region are already strong, giving you the platform to hit the ground running.
  • Dynamic Team: Work alongside talented surveyors, engineers, and consultants in a supportive, multi‑disciplinary environment.
  • Variety & Challenge: From condition surveys and technical due diligence to project management and client advisory, your work will be diverse and rewarding.

What are we looking for?

  • A background in engineering, ideally with experience in a consultancy environment similar to Hollis.
  • Operational engineering skills, including condition surveys, technical due diligence, and robust report writing.
  • Strong client‑facing abilities—you’re comfortable building relationships and representing Hollis with professionalism and confidence.
  • A proactive approach, keen to take ownership and drive projects forward.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, regulations, and standards relating to building services.

Why Hollis?

We’re an independent, international real‑estate consultancy with a reputation for doing things differently. Our people are at the heart of our success—we work hard, support each other, and have fun along the way. We offer a highly competitive salary, a generous benefits package, and a flexible, hybrid working policy. You’ll also enjoy a sociable culture, regular team events, and opportunities to give back through charity initiatives.

We’re committed to diversity and inclusion, and we welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds—even if you don’t meet every single requirement. If you’re passionate about engineering and ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
