Senior Network and Telecoms Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network & Telecoms Engineer to be responsible for implementation, configuration, and support of internal and/or external Networks and its infrastructure (i.e Routers, Switches, Firewalls & Telephony, etc.). You will assist the Systems Administrators with the overall performance and availability of a Global Network (24x7) and provide support for all Network & Voice related infrastructure.
In addition, you will be the primary contact and coordinator of corporate and remote site support for network & voice related issues.
Responsible For:
Network administration, functionality, security, compliance, and maintenance.
Acts as lead and support point person for any escalated issues.
Hardware support and maintenance of Network and Voice Environment (i.e. upgrades, patches).
Assists and is familiar with organizational data security best practices.
‘Second/Third level’ of support for IT service desk. Escalates unresolved problems to other systems staff or appropriate external support providers.
Involved in technical project planning and implementation for all corporate offices (and field as needed).
Skilled in remote support and remote deployment of technology especially in network equipment including Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
Involved with initiating new procedures and plans for the future of the company networks with direction from management.
Supporting IP telephony needs of corporate phone system users, call centre consultants, home office users.This includes the corporate telephony system, voicemail, auto attendant and other related systems.
Perform moves/ adds/ changes with associated equipment, which includes but is not limited to telecommunications end points.
Provide end user training and support for all telecom solutions and devices.
Work closely with telephony vendors for equipment and service support.
Day-to-day planning, administration, installation and support of PureCloud Call Centre Technologies and related applications, including designing and building call flow, queue and skill administration.
Assist in the design, build of contact centre and office dial plans and call routing, using PureCloud Bridge Servers and Cisco Border Edge Routers.
Essential Experience:
Requires 5-7 years related professional IT experience supporting an Enterprise Voice & Network.
Must have knowledge of Networking, Voice, Systems installation, and maintenance.
Must possess communication skills to exchange information and resolve problems with clients/users/vendors.
Experience with Cisco routers and switches (IOS and NXOS).
Experience with Cisco wireless access points, wireless controllers, and management.
Experience with Fortigate firewalls (version 5 & 6).
Thorough knowledge of OSPF, BGP, Vlans, STP, HSRP, vPC, 802.1q, etc.
Good working knowledge of line protocols, including ISDN/PRI, DID/ DNIS, VoIP, SIP, 1DM, Analog, 1.38, DS1/DS3, Metro Over Ethernet, MPLS and Broadband.
Experience with Cisco CUCM/ Unity/ PureCloud Bridge Services/ Cisco CUBE, efax.
Understanding of TDM and IP voice codecs, including G.729, G711 AND G.712.
Previous broad experience within telecommunications, including Contact centre support, with both on premise and cloud-based products.
Experience with designing, building, and testing complex call flows.
Experience with designing, building, planning, and installing remote PBX technologies.
Experience in designing and administering MPLS network connectivity globally at 10 or more sites.
Experience Desirable:
CCNA/CCNP certifications
Experience with Fibre Channel
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent work experience in an IT environment
