A Senior Embedded Software Engineer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, contributing to the design, development and validation of secure embedded software for network-connected assistive listening products.The Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, will be expected to take a leading role in embedded software development, working across the full product lifecycle while collaborating with hardware, firmware, test and compliance teams.Responsibilities include:Designing and developing embedded software in C/C++ for real-time systemsDeveloping secure network-connected products using TCP/IP, HTTP/S and TLSWriting, testing and maintaining production-quality embedded softwareSupporting cybersecurity, compliance and secure product developmentWorking with RTOS and low-level device drivers for ARM-based platformsCollaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver new productsSupporting debugging, technical reviews and continuous product improvementsThe Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, will have the following key skills:Strong embedded C and/or C++ development experienceExperience with RTOS, bare-metal development and ARM Cortex processorsKnowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, TLS and network-connected embedded systemsExperience with low-level interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART and DMAStrong debugging, problem-solving and technical communication skills
