This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to develop their career within a fast-paced, modern production environment.Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and fault-finding on a wide range of production machinery and plant equipment. You will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability and ensuring production continues to operate safely and efficiently.This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys diagnosing faults, solving technical problems and working proactively to keep machinery running.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, plant and equipmentComplete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise breakdowns and production downtimeDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectivelyFault find on mechanical systems, including gearboxes and associated equipmentWork with and understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems and circuitsLiaise effectively with on-site contractors and remote service engineersUse a CMMS maintenance system to accurately record maintenance activities, breakdowns and completed workMonitor and maintain appropriate levels of critical engineering spare partsSupport continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiativesProvide guidance and mentor apprentices within the maintenance teamWork independently and use initiative when responding to breakdowns and technical issuesSupport the wider engineering team with overtime when requiredRequirementsTo be considered for this Electrical Maintenance Technician position, you will need:A relevant NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Maintenance, Engineering or a related disciplineA minimum of 4 years' industrial maintenance experiencePrevious experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Technician or Engineering TechnicianExperience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial engineering environmentStrong electrical maintenance and fault-finding skillsGood understanding of mechanical maintenance and machineryKnowledge of pneumatics and hydraulicsExperience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenanceExperience using CMMS / computerised maintenance management systemsAbility to diagnose breakdowns efficiently and minimise production downtimeGood communication skills and the ability to work with contractors and external engineersAbility to work independently, prioritise workloads and use your own initiativeFlexibility to work overtime when required to support productionWorking HoursMonday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pmThis is a days-based maintenance position, offering a consistent Monday-to-Friday working pattern within an established manufacturing environment.What's on Offer?Permanent position within an established manufacturing businessMonday to Friday, day-shift workingCompetitive salaryHands-on role with varied electrical and mechanical maintenance responsibilitiesOpportunity to develop your engineering careerSupportive, team-focused working environmentIf you are an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with a strong manufacturing background and are looking for a Monday-to-Friday days role in Barnsley, we would like to hear from you.Please apply with your CV and include your salary expectations.To discuss the role in more detail, please get in touch with Logan at Stirling Warrington on 07754 554197.INDSWJBRP1_UKTJ
