Job Description

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Vibe Recruit are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing organisation in the Port Talbot area for a Chemical Process Operator to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position within a busy production environment. Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate developing into a fully trained operator.

The Role

As a Chemical Process Operator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manufacturing and packaging products in line with company procedures
  • Handling and moving materials safely throughout the production process
  • Operating a counterbalance forklift truck
  • Following production instructions and completing tasks accurately
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the working environment
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Handling 25kg drums multiple times throughout the shift
  • Working both independently and as part of the wider production team

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck accreditation - essential
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport - essential
  • A strong awareness of Health & Safety within a working environment
  • The physical ability to comfortably handle 25kg drums throughout the shift
  • The ability to follow instructions and work accurately with good attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
  • The ability to work unsupervised when required
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Previous manufacturing, production, chemical or industrial experience would be advantageous.

This is a permanent opportunity offering stable Monday-to-Friday working hours and full training for the successful candidate.
