Associate (1-3 PQE) - Non-Contentious Construction | London | £100,000-£120,000

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an Associate (1-3 PQE) to join one of the UK's leading Construction teams in London. Recognised as one of the most highly regarded practices in the market, this award-winning team is known for advising on some of the UK's largest and most complex development projects. Acting for an impressive client base of developers, investors, funders and landlords, the team offers exposure to high-value, technically challenging work within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to build their career alongside recognised leaders in the construction sector, gaining first-class training, early responsibility and genuine long-term progression.

The role will include:

  • Advising developers, landlords, funders and investors on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters.
  • Drafting and negotiating construction documentation, including building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, third-party rights, guarantees and letters of intent.
  • Assisting with the construction aspects of commercial real estate, development, property finance and corporate transactions.
  • Carrying out due diligence and preparing construction due diligence reports.
  • Working closely with specialists across Real Estate, Finance, Planning and Corporate teams on major development projects.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping to build long-term client relationships.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 1-3 years' PQE in non-contentious construction.
  • Have trained and qualified with a reputable City or large national law firm.
  • Possess a strong academic background.
  • Have experience advising developers, investors, lenders or other commercial clients.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of JCT, NEC and other standard construction contracts.
  • Have excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Be commercially minded, proactive and keen to develop within a market-leading team.
