Precision Tooling Engineer

Plymouth

Salary £45,600 to £52,200 dependant on experience (inc shift premium) + Bonus Scheme + Overtime + 33Days Holiday inc Bank Holidays + Pension + Extra Benefits

Excellent opportunity for a skilled engineering professional with machining and tooling experience to join a market-leading international manufacturer, working on a range of precision tooling, fixtures and production support activities while developing your career in a highly technical environment.

The company are a well-established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world that not only are renowned for the quality of their products but also for being a leading and progressive employer within the area.

In this role your duties will include repairing press tooling, jigs, fixtures, and machine parts, create and commission new jigs and fixtures, assist with new product introduction, implement continuous improvement techniques,

The Role:

Design, fabricate, and commission new jigs and fixtures to support production processes.

Support new product introductions, ensuring equipment and processes meet operational requirements.

Analyse tooling issues and root causes, developing effective PPM and TPM activities.

Rotating shift, 1 week: 7:00am to 3:00pm, week 2: 3:00pm to 11:00pm

£20.00 to £22.86 per hour plus 25 % shift allowance when working 3:00pm-11:00pm

The person:

Apprenticeship as Mechanical Fitter, Machinist, or Toolmaker or relevant NVQ Level 3/BTEC Level 3

Proficiency in CNC lathe, CNC mill, and surface grinding

Experience in AutoCAD, 3D modelling or inventor would be advantageous

TIG/JIG welding would be advantageous.
