Role:

Electronics Engineer

Location:

Andover, Hampshire (Full-Time, On-Site)

Salary:

Up to £50,000 (Dependent on experience)

Hours:

Mon-Thu 8:30am - 5:00pm | Fri 9:00am - 3:00pm

About the Role

A leading Technology Manufacturer based in Andover is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their product design team. In this role, you will design and develop custom electronic hardware from concept to completion. You will thrive in a fast-moving environment built on open communication, quality, and results.

Key Responsibilities

High-Speed Digital Design:

Develop custom electronic hardware with a strong focus on high-speed digital systems.

System Development:

Contribute to full product cycles, including requirements analysis, concept creation, design, and installation.

Complex Technologies:

Work with motor servo control, video processing hardware, and high-bandwidth interfaces (Ethernet, CoaXPress, HD-SDI).

Schematic & PCB Layout:

Produce high-quality schematics and layouts optimized for EMC, signal integrity, and reliability (Altium preferred).

Hardware Debugging:

Perform hardware-level fault-finding and validation to ensure full PCB functionality.

Embedded Support:

Assist with embedded software development and integration during system bring-up.

Skills & Experience Required

Technical Expertise:

Deep knowledge of modern high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and EMC compliance.

Design Tools:

Proven proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout.

Testing:

Hands-on experience with component-level hardware testing and troubleshooting.

Mindset:

Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Education:

BSc in Electronics, another numerate discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
