We are recruiting an Electrical Bias Engineer to join the team.Role Summary:React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA'sTechnical awareness of computer room/call centre/trader operations and experience of power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling etcRepairs to modular UPS systemsTest and diagnose power quality issues including harmonic distortion using onsite power analysersAble to apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operate plant and systems in data centres/critical environmentsProvide emergency response standby, call outEscalate urgent issues to the Technical Services ManagerRespond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies consistent with the SLAEnsure all critical engineering maintenance documentation & records are kept updatedAdvise the Facilities Management Team of changes in critical environment requirementsWillingness to work over and above contractual hoursUndertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned worksUndertake upgrade & install workInterpret technical drawings, instructions, processes & O&M manualsComplete all reactive Helpdesk RequestsMonitor environmental conditions and review loading/working conditions of critical equipmentAdhere to financial processes at all timesComplete incident reports for abnormal incidents affecting system availabilityDetermine root causes and actions to restore and prevent recurrenceReview and submit actions to the Technical Services ManagerEnter quotes and remedial works into the in-house systemExperience Required:Essential:17th Edition Electrical Wiring RegulationsDesirable:Experience with building management systems, fault finding, and operator useExperience with VAV, FCU, chilled water circuits, and chilled beamsUnderstanding of HVAC systemsKnowledge of CDM processesExcellent communication and facilitation skillsProven customer service skillsAbility to manage tasks and determine material requirementsExperience with H&S procedures, COSHH, working at heights, risk assessmentsHealth & Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH)Testing and inspection of electrical systemsKnowledge of emergency response protocolsUnderstanding of utility and environmental monitoringAuthorized Person status (e.g., AP15/12)Water hygiene L8 certification
