Warehouse Assistant + Driver

Our client is a well-established and growing business within the professional audio-visual industry and is looking to recruit a Warehouse & Logistics Operative / Driver to join their busy logistics team.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately, while supporting deliveries and maintaining a safe, organised warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities Goods Out

Pick and prepare customer orders accurately from digital and printed picking lists.

Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage in transit.

Label shipments correctly and prepare orders for dispatch.

Stage completed orders for courier collection and vehicle loading.

Goods In

Safely unload deliveries using appropriate warehouse equipment.

Inspect incoming goods for damage and report any discrepancies.

Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.

Book stock into the warehouse management system accurately.

Stock Control

Store products safely and efficiently within the warehouse.

Carry out stock counts and inventory checks to maintain high levels of accuracy.

Ensure stock is labelled correctly and managed using FIFO principles where applicable.

Driving & Logistics

Drive company vehicles for local deliveries and transfers between sites as required.

Assist with loading vehicles safely and efficiently.

Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.

Warehouse Operations

Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet trucks (where certified).

Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse.

Follow all Health & Safety, manual handling and COSHH procedures.

General Duties

Respond professionally to internal and external enquiries relating to stock and deliveries.

Support the Logistics Manager and Warehouse team with any additional duties as required.
