About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and ambitious Building Services Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to progress into an Electrical Supervisor role and play a key part in developing our electrical services division.

Working across a commercial property portfolio, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance, testing, inspection, compliance, remedial works, and small projects. The role offers a clear progression path into supervision and is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems.

Attend reactive maintenance tasks and diagnose faults.

Complete electrical testing, inspection, and certification.

Conduct and review EICRs, identifying remedial requirements.

Undertake remedial works arising from inspections and reports.

Support installations, refurbishments, and small works projects.

Assist with estimating, quotations, and scoping works.

Ensure compliance with current regulations and company procedures.

Complete service reports and certification accurately.

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Support the growth and development of the electrical division.

Essential Qualifications

Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical Installation (or equivalent).

City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).

18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Essential Experience

Commercial building services or facilities maintenance experience.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Experience carrying out testing, inspection, and certification.

Good understanding of EICRs and electrical compliance.

Experience producing accurate reports and documentation.

Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations.

Experience within a mobile engineering role.
