Stock Controller – Wine Industry - Onsite

Salary: c.£30,000 + Wine Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Location: Central London - Office Based

Contract Type: Permanent


We are open to three strong candidate backgrounds:


Wine trade professionals – for example, stock controllers or assistant managers from specialist wine retailers or importers, with hands‑on stock experience.

FMCG logistics/stock controllers – candidates with transferable skills combined with a genuine interest in wine.

Retail/consumer‑side wine specialists – individuals with WSET and experience managing stock and vintage rollovers in a retail environment, ready to step into a broader supply chain role.

Our client is a high-end wine business. As part of a respected family-owned group, this company exclusively represents some of the world's finest family-owned wine brands.


Wine knowledge is at the heart of this role. WSET Level 3 (Advanced) preferred – enthusiasm for the wine trade is essential.


Position Overview

As Stock Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in maintaining stock integrity and supporting seamless logistics operations across the business. Working closely with the Logistics Manager, warehouse partners and internal teams, you'll manage stock reporting, coordinate supplier orders, handle customs documentation and ensure accurate invoicing. This role is essential to supporting both customer service excellence and the smooth flow of premium FMCG products through the UK supply chain.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock integrity by running monthly reports and managing reserves
  • Coordinate supplier stock, ex-works and POS orders with the Logistics Manager
  • Update internal systems with ready dates and verify order acknowledgements
  • Raise customer invoices and credit notes accurately
  • Support customs clearance by preparing commercial invoices and documentation
  • Liaise daily with the warehouse on purchase orders and GRNs
  • Land goods to the system and communicate arrivals to teams
  • Support Customer Services with morning order keying and file checks
  • Collaborate effectively across teams to ensure smooth operations
