As a key member of our team, you’ll play an important role in shaping and delivering our new business focus, helping us strengthen our market position and drive the next phase of our growth.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving new business growth by identifying, developing and securing opportunities across Northamptonshire and the Midlands.
• Building lasting customer relationships by nurturing existing accounts, understanding evolving needs and identifying opportunities for further growth.
• Owning your sales strategy by developing and executing targeted plans that build a strong pipeline and deliver ambitious revenue goals.
• Becoming a trusted packaging partner by providing expert, consultative advice and recommending solutions tailored to each customer’s commercial and operational needs.
• Turning opportunities into exceptional customer experiences by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams from initial conversation through to delivery.

Above all, you’ll take ownership of your territory, build meaningful customer partnerships and play a direct role in driving the continued growth of 1st Class Packaging.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• A proven track record in business development and account management, with demonstrated success in winning new business and growing existing customer relationships.
• Strong knowledge of the packaging industry, including an understanding of market trends, customer challenges and emerging opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage, influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
• The ability to build trusted relationships with key decision-makers, becoming a credible commercial partner who understands their business and delivers genuine value.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex sales conversations, overcome objections and successfully close deals
