Responsibilities
Due to internal changes and off the back of continued success, our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to take ownership of new projects from initial quotation through to first delivery, playing a pivotal role in the company's expansion.
Your responsibilities will include:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of new projects, from quotation to initial delivery, acting as a hybrid between commercial, estimating, and manufacturing engineering functions.
You will:
* Track and manage new opportunities, including RFQs (Request for Quotations).
* Collaborate across the factory (fabricated or machined components) to accurately determine manufacturing costs.
* Prepare and submit comprehensive quotations to customers.
* Manage successful projects on a first-time-through basis, overseeing the initial production run.
* Hand over completed initial production batches to the wider production team.
* Review engineering drawings and customer specifications to interpret and define the optimal method of manufacture.
* Liaise directly with customers to address technical queries and ensure project alignment.
* Plan and guide projects through the NPI (New Product Introduction) stage to successful delivery.
