Our Client, a well-established Health and Safety Consultancy based in Wolverhampton are looking for a Trainee Health and Safety Assistant to join their team.
This role will initially be the main support to a highly experienced H&S Consultant and is a genuine opportunity to develop your career within the field of Health and Safety and progress to a Consultant position.
A competitive starting salary of £25,000 plus study support.
The successful Trainee Health & Safety Assistant will be required to:-
Update Method Statements and Risk Assessments (RAMs).
Draft new client H&S policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
Write and amend COSHH Assessments.
Assist with the new client health checker to assess safety compliance.
Initiate and assist with SSIP applications including CHAS, SMAS, SafeContractor and Construction Line.
Set up remote client portals to give client access to safety documentation.
The ideal Trainee Health & Safety Assistant will have:-
Genuine interest in health and safety.
Experience of working within health and safety would be preferred.
IOSH Managing Safely.
Working towards NEBOSH (preferred but not essential.)
Good administration skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build a strong rapport.
Strong IT skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
