RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting on behalf of our policing client based in Birmingham for a Facilities Support Officer. This is a full time, permanent role and offers a salary of £26,487 - £29,874
As an FSO, you will work closely with approved contractors, you’ll handle the administrative and logistical elements of the estate requirements ensuring all statutory maintenance and repairs are delivered in a timely fashion.
Due to the nature of the role, you'll be required to participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster (approximately one week in five) for which an additional on-call allowance is paid.
Main Duties:
Coordinate all reactive and planned maintenance and servicing by contractors
Liaise with relevant stake holders to coordinate the effects of planned and reactive works on the wider business as usual processes across the estate
Ensure all contractors attending site hold the appropriate clearance levels in line with site security requirements
Action multi-channel customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner within agreed service levels (SLA’s)
Attend and assess any building maintenance requests that are submitted before raising with the relevant contractors
Undertake general administrative responsibilities to ensure physical site security requirements are upheld
Compile contractor quotes for review and approval by supervision
Oversee the receipting and processing of invoices for completed works
Provide guidance and support to other members of the team as necessary
Essential Requirements:
Full driving license and access to own car
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels inside and outside of the organisation
Ability to use initiative and work with minimal referral, making decisions alone and escalating where appropriate
Experience of maintaining electronic filing systems or records and working to a high level of detail and accuracy
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to plan multiple tasks and project works
Willingness to work as part of an on-call roster system with other members of the team (covering evening/night and weekend periods) and to use your own vehicle for callouts as necessary
Due to the nature of this role, you must be a British citizen. This role will also be subject to vetting and the successful individual will be required to obtain and maintain these clearances.
