We require a Finance Manager to take full responsibility for our finance function. You will report to the Finance Director and the MD.
We operate our offices in Soho with a flexible working policy. You would be required in the office 1-2 days per week on average, or more as you prefer.
Key responsibilities:
Management Accounts: produce monthly management accounts two weeks after the month-end
Core finance processes: Manage finance processes (e.g., credit card processes, expense, POs, budget updates) to improve the accuracy and timing of company finances
Core record keeping and accounting systems: maintain up-to-date accounts/data/records on core accounting system (Xero); update monthly payroll journals
Budget management: liaise with and advise/guide the client services team to track spend on individual projects against client invoices to ensure that spending falls within budget and hits GP targets
Payments & cash flow: audit and set up weekly pay-run for approval by MD. Monitor cash flow and report monthly
Tax management: prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for HMRC
Invoicing: sending timely invoices to clients to ensure a short cash conversion cycle
Debtor control: driving receivables collections from clients
Maintain ongoing dialogue with accountants: to manage/update, payroll, VAT issues and any matters regarding company accounts/tax (VAT, corporation tax and NI)
Requirements:
Experience and a high degree of competence working with Xero
Previous marketing/advertising/comms agency experience preferred
A high degree of spreadsheet competence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Be a self-starter and seek out solutions before problems arise
Experience reporting directly to senior management
