Location: Bedale

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 48 daytime hours and up to 39 night-time hours per week (24/7 care required for a disabled gentleman with epilepsy)

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Summary

We are looking for 2-3 Support Workers to cover for 48 daytime hours and up to 39 night-time hours per week, to support a disabled gentleman with epilepsy who requires 24/7 care.

The gentleman lives in Bedale and needs support and assistance accessing community activities such as outdoor activities, concerts, theatre etc. Duties further include personal/health care needs, domestic assistance and encouragement to take part in activities within the community. The gentleman also goes on a one-week holiday twice a year, which he requires 24/7 care. Therefore, it is essential that the successful applicants will provide support with this.

Responsibilities

The applicants must be a driver (over the age of 25 due to motor insurance requirements) have a full clean UK driving licence. Have experience with Epilepsy and Autism is essential for this position.

Experience

Epilepsy: 2 years (preferred)

Working with individuals with autism: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification

Driving Licence (preferred)
