Job Description

Luma Education Recruitment are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join a specialist primary school setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with children with additional needs and is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils.
  • Adapt the primary curriculum to ensure all pupils can access and participate in learning.
  • Support children with a range of special educational needs and additional learning requirements.
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils and encourage confidence and independence.
  • Use a range of teaching, communication and sensory strategies to support learning.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEN staff and other professionals.
  • Contribute to individual education plans and personalised learning programmes.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
