Day to Day of the role:
Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage the Employee Payments team, conducting regular performance reviews.
Overseeing complex pension schemes including the implementation of the annual cost of living increase
Manage the expenses payment process, including the Corporate Credit Card scheme.
Provide Treasury with accurate cashflow forecasts.
Design and implement a robust control environment to ensure data integrity and prevent errors or fraudulent activity.
Handle the requirements of internal and external audits.
Act as a Business Process Expert for the SAP Payroll and Expenses modules, driving functionality improvements.
Continually review and improve processes within the Employee Payments function to drive positive change.
Develop and maintain a robust business continuity plan for all key finance processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, preferably within a large, complex, and unionised organisation.
Membership of the Institute of Payroll Management.
In-depth knowledge of Payroll/PAYE policy and procedures, including international payroll.
Strong recruitment, training, coaching, and team development skills.
Good knowledge of control environment attributes.
Business Process Expert experience with an excellent understanding of SAP.
Experience with SAP implementations, payroll migration, and/or change management is highly desirable.
