Salary: £14.25 - £14.50 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 12-3:30, term time only

TeacherActive is proud to be working with Flying Start settings across the Newport area to recruit a dedicated Level 3 Nursery Assistant. These settings are committed to providing high-quality early years education, promoting children's development through nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environments where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

The setting is looking to appoint a Level 3 Nursery Assistant on a long-term, part-time temporary basis from September 2026. The successful Level 3 Nursery Assistant will support children within the early years provision, assisting with daily routines, planned activities, observations and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment in line with the EYFS framework.

The successful Level 3 Nursery Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
• Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
• Experience supporting children's learning and development through play
• A positive and proactive approach to working as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
