We service a diverse client base, including retailers in fashion, health & beauty, grocery & supermarkets, books & stationery, DIY & homeware. From new and emerging retailers to global organisations, discounters and luxury operators.
We are seeking an experienced 3rd Line Support Technician to provide telephone, remote and on-site technical support to our team both in the office and out in the field. Working in a small, friendly team, you will have amazing communication skills that provide jargon-free, clear, helpful advice and support. Build and develop good working relationships with all the teams you work with, someone with a reputation for doing as they say they will and getting things done. You will be able to manage your own workload and prioritise as needed, but you will be comfortable seeking guidance when it is appropriate.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Respond to technical support requests from colleagues professionally and within appropriate timelines
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, cloud, and network issues to resolution
Collaborate closely with the Network Manager and IT Operations Manager to ensure seamless issue escalation and resolution
Provide remote and on-site support as required, logging all activities accurately and in detail within our ticketing system (Vivantio)
Perform analysis of system logs, event logs, and other data to identify potential problems.
Assist employees in setting up and configuring hardware, software, and peripherals.
Install and upgrade software applications and operating systems.
Document support activities, solutions, and configurations to contribute to our knowledge base.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in the IT industry.
Key skills
Working experience of Azure and Active Directory
Cyber Security, with knowledge of Cyber Essentials (plus)
Good problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.
Thorough knowledge of administering Microsoft 365 software and technologies.
Experience with Microsoft Windows server technologies.
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, & Active Directory).
Excellent Cyber Security awareness and understanding of the latest threats.
Familiar with Computer imaging technologies such as Macrium, although full training will be provided.
Working hours Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, (some occasional weekends and out-of-hours might be required)
