Company Overview
Our client’s, are one of the UK’s largest domestic lighting supply companies, now seeks to employ a proven National Account leader, with experience of strategic selling / range development skills for major high street clients.
The Role:
This position will report to the UK Managing Director and will be responsible for the strategy in developing and guiding the implementation of the account specific business plans. It is a highly collaborative, hands-on role, where you will maintain excellent relationships with key retailer contacts, ensuring that the business continues producing and supplying ranges of product to meet consumer client needs.
Responsibilities
• Excite and inspire the customer with innovative plans that meets and beat profitable growth targets
• Manage a field sales team of key account managers and develop all external and internal relationships to strengthen a competitive position
• Continually assess and correct business performance, to ensure the Co. meets or exceeds customer and business expectations.
• Manage contract and price negotiation.
• Manage and coordinate internal processes and procedures, ensuring that account management is aligned to all supporting departments.
• Complete financial reporting including budgets, forecasts, and costs.
• Accountability for both short- and long-term customer objectives
• Store & Online sales strategy and implementation of new product launches etc
Requirements
• 3 years+ NAM brand experience for high street retailers ( Homewares, Lighting is a prerequisite)
• Track record of success
• Strong trading and procurement understanding
• Highly driven and motivated by results.
• Natural inclination to spot opportunities.
• Strategic in outlook & creative in thinking
• Financially literate
• Keen interest in business development
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels
• Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills
• First class interpersonal and negotiating skills.
• Experience of domestic lighting products and market sector highly desirable
• Proficiency in all key MS applications essential
• Strong Man management skills
