Job Description

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE (with the option to work from home up to 2 days a week, once you've settled into the role)

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00-13:00 Friday

Salary: between £35,000 and £45,000 pa DOE

We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on engineer to join our Chassis Team, helping to design and develop the next generation of market‑leading products. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid academic foundation and some industry experience who is ready to build on their skills, take on greater responsibility, and make a real impact within a collaborative engineering environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the design and development of systems and components, supporting projects from concept through to production
  • Produce and develop engineering drawings, 3D models, and supporting documentation to a high standard
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective design solutions
  • Support product launches and provide engineering input to resolve production and in-service issues
  • Investigate technical issues, carry out root cause analysis, and implement practical, robust solutions
  • Apply engineering best practice, ensuring quality, compliance, and attention to detail throughout the design process

What We’re Looking For

  • HNC/HND/Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Relevant industry experience, ideally in automotive or related sectors.
  • Good understanding of core engineering principles (e.g. materials, stress, fatigue, and design fundamentals)
  • Experience using CAD software (Solid Edge desirable but not essential) and producing engineering drawings
  • Awareness of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture/assembly principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks and see them through
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
