Overview

Trainee Coding & Programmer Placement Programme

Please note this is a training programme with career placement and fees apply. If you are looking to progress a career in website administration, this training and placement programme is for you. Skills shortages in the IT sector drive the need for qualified, entry-level career seekers and career changers. All you need is a desire to work hard and invest time and money to build the foundations for a new career. We help you start your career in programming by ensuring you have the necessary industry recognised certifications and skills, and we help you market yourself through a structured career-driven CV and LinkedIn profile. Finally, tutors help you create a credible portfolio to demonstrate skills to potential employers. We have years of experience helping graduates find their first roles in top UK companies and organisations that need entry-level qualified programming staff who can hit the ground running with up-to-date skills from this programme. This programme is designed for individuals with none or limited experience and a real desire to start a career; please do not apply if you are an experienced programmer. It is flexible and can be completed in as little as a few weeks or a few months (study timings assume a minimum 5 hours per week). Training times may be reduced if more time can be invested each week.

There is a staged progression as described below.

Stage 1 – Learn HTML and CSS

The first step is completing a selection of professional and industry-recognised courses chosen to maximise learning and employability. HTML Essentials (up to 6 weeks) and CSS Essentials (up to weeks) are part of this stage. Training is delivered through multimedia video tutorials, presentations and quizzes via an online portal. You will be assigned an expert tutor and a support mentor for 1-2-1 or group sessions. After completion, you move to the next stage.

Stage 2 – Additional Online Training

The second step includes more advanced courses to prepare you for entry-level programming roles.

  • Learn the Command Line (1.5 weeks)
  • Learn Git & GitHub (1.5 weeks)
  • Learn JavaScript (1.5 weeks)
  • Learn Python 3 (1.5 weeks)
JavaScript forms the foundation of most things on the Internet. Python is versatile and widely used across industries.

Step 3 – Building a Portfolio Website Project

Your tutor will provide exercises to help you build a personalised portfolio. A strong portfolio demonstrates your range of skills and abilities. Completion of additional study courses is voluntary but recommended:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Step 4 – Entry Level Web Administrator placement

We will work with you to secure your first role in a coding, programming, or web development role. Entry-level roles typically start between £25K - £40k depending on prior knowledge or experience. Opportunities include:

  • Junior Developer
  • Website Administrator
  • Website Support Developer
  • Junior Web Developer
  • Content Editor
  • Wordpress Developer
  • Junior Software Developer
  • Junior Front or Back End Development
  • Development Support

We have been helping career changers and new career seekers since 2009. We are a CompTIA Platinum Partner, accredited by the BCS (Chartered Institute of IT/British Computer Society) and have a 4.9 Trustpilot rating with testimonials available on our website. We offer a money-back job guarantee; if you do not secure a job upon completion of the study programme, you may be eligible for a refund subject to terms of learning/terms of business.

Qualification for this programme: spaces are limited. Apply before the deadline and a consultant will speak with you to check eligibility.
