Salary: from £15 per hour

Reed FE is seeking a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistant  to provide cover support at an educational establishment in Leeds.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional learning needs. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables learners to develop confidence, independence, and essential skills for their future.

Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom and 1:1 support to learners with additional learning needs.

Assist lecturers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities.

Support learners to achieve their individual educational goals.

Promote student wellbeing, confidence, and independence.

Adapt support strategies to meet the needs of individual learners.

Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on student progress when required.

Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to student welfare.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Learning Mentor, or similar within a Further Education, SEN, or educational setting.

Current safeguarding training and strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

Experience working within Further Education.

Experience supporting learners with additional needs, including autism, SEMH, learning difficulties, and/or complex needs.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
