The role will involve daily management and strategic leadership on client accounts, including, but not limited to, planning projects for housebuilders/renewable energy projects, trade bodies and third sector organisations.
Key activities include:
Coordinating, directing and attending public consultation events across Scotland.
Preparing and undertaking stakeholder engagement programmes.
Preparing and undertaking public affairs documents, including scoping reports.
Hosting and organising stakeholder roundtables and events.
Key responsibilities will include political and policy counsel, with a particular emphasis on providing PR, public affairs approaches and digital services.
Main duties and responsibilities
· To manage client relationships, ensuring they receive structured and strategic communications advice and support.
· Working in close consultation with clients to plan and implement communication strategies on their behalf.
· Coordinating web design and brand development.
· Community engagement planning, attendance, and management.
· Supporting the Account Director and Managing Director with staff recruitment and general company management.
· Overseeing and implementing press and media engagement KPIs on behalf of clients.
· Assisting clients to develop positive relationships with target stakeholders and influence decision-making and political processes.
· Confidently leading and managing multi-client portfolios spanning different policy sectors on budget and on time.
· Managing relationships with journalists and the media on behalf of clients.
· Writing copy for opinion pieces to be shared on social media as well as placed in traditional media.
· Identifying and leading new client pitches and tenders.
· Draft public affairs strategies, policy briefings and statutory documents.
· Contributing analysis and opinion pieces to increase the company's profile.
· Drafting social media calendars and recommending sponsorship opportunities.
· Proactively managing social media channels on behalf of clients to positively manage their reputation and raise their profile.
· Drafting media and policy copy in a range of styles and formats and to a consistently high standard.
· Daily media and political monitoring and background research on clients’ behalf.
· Where appropriate, sell additional design and digital services that can further assist the client in achieving their communications objectives.
· Actively participating in new client pitches to secure new business for the company.
· Representing the company at events and conferences.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year (dependent on experience)
