Job Description

Salary: £52,000 - 81,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Experience in C++ and C# programming
  • Embedded Linux expertise
  • Experience in networking fundamentals
  • Experience in microservices architecture and containerisation
  • Experience of task estimation and refinement to support PM
  • Knowledge of at least one software engineering practice, for example TDD, BDD or CI/CD
  • Successful history in delivering and supporting software products throughout the SDLC and wider product life cycle
  • Demonstrable experience of the values and principles of Agile methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships across internal departments
  • Cyber security skills and experience are desirable

Responsibilities:

  • We will involve you throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery
  • We will expect you to deliver value to customers by designing, developing, testing and reviewing individually deliverable software features within a team
  • We will expect you to deliver sprint-goal feature tickets
  • We will work alongside test engineers to influence behaviours and support the implementation of the test strategy
  • We will ensure the code has sufficient test coverage and is tested at the appropriate levels, including unit testing, integration tests and code reviews
  • We will expect you to proactively collaborate with individuals and other teams to achieve our business objectives
  • We will expect you to assist in breaking down the roadmap into a backlog, identifying and mitigating risk
  • We will expect you to maintain professional skills, keep up to date with the latest technologies, and actively apply them to different projects, codebases and development languages
