Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Working a continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm & 6:30pm to 6:30am

Keele, Cheshire

£55,176 per annum (including shift allowance) + overtime (paid at premium) + benefits

Our business is organised into three divisions: Landscape Products, Building Products and Roofing Products. We are looking to recruit an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer within Marley, our Roofing Products division, supporting the manufacture of industry-leading roofing solutions

So what's the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm.

What are the mission-critical skills?

Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally

Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent is desirable)

Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Practical hands-on approach.

Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities

Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.

Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production

PLC And VSD Knowledge is advantageous

Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
