About the Finance Director role
Reporting to the Managing Director the Finance Director will be responsible for the timely production of financial & management information and will work with the MD to ensure the operational & strategic objectives of the company are achieved. Key responsibilities of the Finance Director:
Finance business partner to the Managing Director and Senior Management Team working to grow the business through an improved understanding of all revenue and cost information
Day to day control of the accounting & payroll function and management of a multi-site, finance team
Management of the HR & IT function and coordinating with external service providers
Formulating strategies and plans to ensure the company achieve agreed objectives
Contribute to weekly management meetings and the quarterly business review
Preparation of the 12 month rolling budget and forecast for P & L and Balance Sheet
Responsible for revenue forecasting and submitting the weekly sales & orders report
Responsibility for the month-end close and monthly reporting pack to Group HQ
Ultimate responsibility for working capital and cash-flow management
Formulating the FX reporting and hedging strategy
Building strong relations with external parties, including customers and suppliers
Statutory reporting, corporation tax and audit liaison
Be the champion for developing and improving the ERP system
About you
The Finance Director will be ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified and have proven experience within a challenging SME environment
The successful applicant will be commercially minded with strong business partnering experience and excellent financial reporting skills
A background in manufacturing or distribution is highly advantageous.
