CMA recruitment Group is delighted to be supporting our Central Bournemouth, Dorset client who is seeking a hands on Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client is an impressive multi-entity and sector client spanning a portfolio of businesses across care homes, construction, hospitality and investment companies.

What will the Finance Assistant role involve?

Overseeing the purchase ledger process for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, coding, and supplier reconciliation

Assisting with bank transactions, bank reconciliations, and resolving outstanding banking issues efficiently

Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK VAT regulations across diverse business units

Contributing to general accounting activities, including ledger postings, month-end processes, and financial data accuracy

Collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and process improvements

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:

Previous experience in a finance or accounts environment, ideally with knowledge of purchase ledger and reconciliation tasks

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines

Good attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and proactive problem-solving ability

Confident user of accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and an understanding of UK VAT processes

Willingness to contribute to a team and develop in a fast-paced, multi-entity setting
