Procurement Manager – Woodwork & Cutting ToolsJob Title: Procurement Manager – Woodwork & Cutting ToolsJob reference Number: 610263-4116-26237Industry Sector: Procurement Manager, Buyer, Technical Manager, Procurement, Operations, Commercial Manager, Tools, Power Tools, Machinery, Woodwork Tools, Cutting Tools, Router Cutters, Router Jigs, Router Accessories, Shop Fitting, Stockists, DIY Retail Outlets, Hardware Stores, Independent Retailers, Builders Merchants, FMCG, RetailersOffice Based: Commutable to HertfordshireRemuneration: £55,000 - £60,000neg + Discretionary bonus schemeBenefits: Company pension, Health & Life schemes, 25 Days annual leaveThe role of the Procurement Manager – Woodwork & Cutting Tools will involve:Procurement Manager position dealing with a manufactured range of woodwork & cutting tools including; router cutters, routing jigs and router accessoriesFocus on optimising procurement processes, ensuring accurate stock levels, and integrating purchasing functions to improve inventory control and supplier managementDevelop and implement new procurement strategies to improve cost efficiencies, supplier performance and continuity of supplyCollaborate with IT, warehouse, finance and other internal departments to ensure seamless integration of new systemDefine system requirements and work closely with vendor and developers to customise system as requiredMonitor and manage supplier performance and order processes, ensuring compliance and timely deliveryOversee purchase order completion, approval workflows, and stock replenishmentThe ideal applicant will be a Procurement Manager – Woodwork & Cutting Tools with:Must have Procurement or Buying experience within the construction, tools, or manufacturing sectorHighly advantageous to have experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) sectorBeneficial to have a related degree (Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics etc.)Previous experience managing procurement teams is idealExcellent communication skills both written and verbalStrong negotiation skills, commercial awareness and decision making capability
