About the Role
Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 Curtain Side Driver for a well-established client based in Leeds.
This is a steady multi-drop delivery role involving the transportation of metal products to customer sites across the region.
Most deliveries are offloaded by forklift on site , with some deliveries requiring assisted handball . Drivers will also be responsible for ensuring loads are safely secured throughout the journey.
The Role
• Complete Class 2 curtain-side deliveries safely and efficiently
• Deliver metal products to customer sites across the region
• Complete multi-drop deliveries as required
• Most deliveries will be offloaded using a forklift on site
• Some deliveries will involve assisted handball
• Secure loads using ratchets and straps
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects
• Complete delivery paperwork and PODs accurately
• Provide a professional and friendly service at delivery locations
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and professionalism
• Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
Requirements
• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence held for at least 12 months
• Minimum 6 months' recent Class 2 curtain-side experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
• Confident using ratchets and straps to secure loads
• Comfortable with some assisted handball
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
