Accounts Assistant

Job Description

We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a unique and diverse business based in a beautiful location just outside Thirsk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and would like to work in a more interesting environment than a typical accounts office. The role is based on-site in a rural location, so a driving licence and access to your own transport are essential. There is some flexibility around start and finish times. Responsibilities: Processing multiple purchase and sales ledgers Preparing and processing payment runs Resolving invoice and supplier queries Completing bank and credit card reconciliations Preparing VAT returns Processing payroll Assisting with weekly cash flow preparation Supporting the wider finance function as required About You: We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable managing a varied workload. You will ideally have: Previous experience within a varied accounts role Sage 50 experience Good working knowledge of Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy The ability to organise and prioritise your own workload A high level of discretion and confidentiality Multi-entity accounts experience would be beneficial, although it is not essential. This position would particularly suit someone who is country or rural-minded, lives within a reasonable commute of Thirsk and would enjoy working within a close-knit environment in an incredible countryside setting.
