Teaching Assistant – Secondary SEN School
Location: Gravesend, Kent
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (with potential for permanent placement)
Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive secondary SEN school in Gravesend is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team and make a meaningful impact in students' lives.
The Role:
Provide classroom support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Work closely with teachers and other support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Support students with emotional and behavioural needs, promoting a positive and safe learning environment.
Contribute to the wider school community and participate in enrichment activities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working in SEN settings or with students who have additional needs.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young people.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the students.
Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).
