Our client, a reputable independent family-run garage in Midhurst, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join their expanding team.

Duties

• Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including all makes and models
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
• Carry out MOT testing (certificate preferred but training can be provided)
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and prepare vehicles for sale
• Ensure all work is completed to industry standards, adhering to safety and legal regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and communicate effectively with customers
• Assist in the ongoing development of the team by sharing technical expertise

Requirements

• Qualified Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester with Level 2 or 3 NVQ/IMI or equivalent
• MOT Tester certificate (preferred but not essential; training provided if required)
• Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Enthusiastic about maintaining high standards and continuous learning
