As Lead Security Engineer, you’ll take ownership of critical security initiatives, lead a talented team, and help shape the strategy that protects their growing platform.Role Overview:Location: Hybrid – Milton Keynes (with flexible working options)Industry: Technology / SaaS / Financial ServicesWhat You’ll Be Doing:Leading endpoint monitoring and detection strategies across all company devicesOverseeing cloud security posture management and ensuring compliance with best practicesDriving improvements in network security and real-time intrusion detectionLeading the investigation and resolution of security incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teamsDesigning and enforcing identity and access management (IAM) frameworksImplementing proactive strategies to detect and stop account takeovers and impersonation threatsOwning the threat exposure management lifecycle and response protocolsLeading and mentoring a growing team of security engineersPlaying a key role in incident response planning and executionPromoting security awareness and best practice across the businessMain Skills Needed:Strong experience in endpoint monitoring, CSPM, intrusion detection, and network securityProven ability to manage threat exposure and respond to live security eventsDeep knowledge of IAM principles and tools (MFA, SSO, RBAC)Experience leading and developing security teams in technical environmentsFamiliarity with cloud security (Azure, Google Cloud)Expertise in industry frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO27001)Solid understanding of core protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN)Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiencesScripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasksWhat’s in It for You:High-impact role in a rapidly scaling, tech-driven businessCollaborative and agile culture with space to shape the security roadmapInvestment in tools, training, and professional developmentHybrid and flexible working to suit your lifestyleAutonomy, ownership, and the support to grow a team around youLet’s skip the hard sell — this is just a brilliant role.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
