Test/Validation Engineer

Job Description

Validation Engineer

Location: Stafford

Duration: 12-month initial contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

We are seeking a Validation Engineer to independently deliver end-to-end verification and validation projects for industrial diesel engines. The position focuses on product validation for new development projects surrounding power density and emissions. This is an opportunity to take ownership of product validation and help shape improved validation methodologies using accelerated testing.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate diesel engine performance, verify mechanical components, and understand overall engine health.

Define and manage comprehensive component validation plans.

Coordinate day-to-day engineering activity, test execution, and data analysis.

Conduct failure analysis and defect resolution using industry-standard methodologies.

Generate clear, data-driven engineering recommendations and technical reports.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional design, test, manufacturing, and supplier teams.

Qualifications & Skills

A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

A minimum of 3 years of experience in product validation, verification, testing, or development engineering.

Industry experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial machine development is highly transferable.

Practical engine robustness evaluation experience and knowledge of internal combustion development.

Strong analytical skills for interpreting test data and applying root cause analysis methods (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, 6s).

Familiarity with engineering tools such as FMEA and DVP&R.

Excellent presentation and communication skills for delivering results to varying audiences.

Working Conditions

Location Model: Fully onsite in Stafford (5 days a week).

Hours: 37 hours per week.
