Senior Project Electrical Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Thames Water Major Projects team based working on our Maple Lodge site, Rickmansworth.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to work within our Thames Water Major Projects team. As a Kier Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide LV and HV electrical engineering expertise for industrial projects with particular emphasis on the water industry. The ideal candidate will be someone who is quality-focused with a demonstrable history of managing Low and High Voltage Electrical works, HV switchgear and LV Motor Control Centre delivery within major projects. Kier is a strategic partner to Thames Water on Major Projects and Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions.

What will you be responsible for?

Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on electrical documentation including block cable diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules, and MCC/RTU electrical schematicsRepresenting Kier at electrical installation and MCC progress meetings, and coordinating with Thames Water Operations team on live process plantsReviewing electrical installation and commissioning works on site, ensuring compliance with quality and asset standardsConducting factory acceptance tests for MCC/RTU builds, ensuring the final product meets all design criteria and process requirementsEngaging with the supply chain to provide accurate proposals and ensuring health & safety, environmental and quality standards are met

What are we looking for?

You hold an HNC qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation engineering or similar disciplineYou have experience in low voltage electrical installations on large-scale water treatment worksYou have a working knowledge of large motor control centres and associated ICA sectionsYou demonstrate a good understanding of various communications protocols including Profibus, DeviceNet and Ethernet IPYou have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively as part of a multi-discipline team
