Position Title: Support Worker

Location: Stockport

Hourly Rate: £12.87 per hour

Hours Per Week: Part time - 6 hours per day (Days to be discussed at interview stage)

ABOUT THE ROLE

I am a young woman living at home with my parents in Stockport. I have a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and other conditions that can cause extreme fatigue and anxiety. I need support that is led by me, built around my choices and routines, and delivered in a calm, consistent and respectful way. This includes Positive Behaviour Support planning and practical support with day-to-day routines, admin, meals, medication and appointments.

My conditions can make problem solving, processing information and planning tasks difficult. I need someone who can work alongside me to break things down, explore options, adapt when plans change, and help me find practical solutions without taking away my independence. I also use a power wheelchair and will need support to find accessible activities that match my interests and energy levels.

I am looking for a motivated, committed and flexible person to join my team. It is important that you take time to get to know me as an individual, understand how my conditions affect my life, and support me in a person-centred way that respects my communication, choices and pace

My interests include reading, knitting, video games and puzzles/strategy.

I have a van which my support workers will use to access the community with me.
