Job Title: Pipefitter
Location: Govan & Scotstoun - Glasgow
Salary: £36,217 (Shift allowance of 33% (£48,168) for Back, Night & Weekend shifts)
Overtime Rates:
Mon – Thurs: Time and a third
Friday: Time and a half for the first 4 hours, double time from then on
Saturday: Time and a half
Sunday: Double time
Shift Patterns:
Mon – Thurs
Day Shift: 07:00 – 16:30
Back Shift: 14:00 – 23:30
Night Shift 20:30 – 06:00
Fri – Sun
Weekend: 07:00 – 19:30

Your main responsibilities as a Pipefitter will involve:
Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni and carbon steel)
Using a range of hand tools & mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipes
Installing utilities aboard ship i.e., sinks, showers, and toilets.
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential:
Trade papers, e.g., formal apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)
Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipment
Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
Understanding of manufacturing processes
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
Desirable :
Safety certification i.e., SHE induction, COSHH awareness, working at height etc
Background in a major construction / manufacturing environment.
