Learning Support Assistants (LSA) required !

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated further education provider where inclusion is at the heart of everything they do. You'll support young people and adults with a variety of additional learning needs, including autism, dyslexia, emotional and behavioural challenges, and physical or sensory impairments. Working closely with learners throughout their studies, you'll play a key role in helping them overcome barriers, build confidence and succeed both academically and personally.

Based in Weybridge, Surrey this role is commutable from Ashford, Staines-upon-Thames, Sunbury-on-Thames, Feltham, Bedfont, Stanwell, Shepperton, Hounslow, Hanworth, Egham and surrounding areas.

Salary: £26,592.45 FTE (Actual Salary: £22,460.39)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 37 weeks per year (part-time considered for the right candidate)

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant your responsibility will be to support students with a range of additional learning needs, helping them succeed both inside and outside the classroom. Working as part of a dedicated support team, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small group support across a variety of curriculum areas (Entry Level to Level 3).
Help learners develop their English, maths and study skills.
Support students during examinations and assessments.
Maintain accurate records of learner support and progress.

You'll be a patient, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) / Support Worker/ Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with:

English and Maths at Level 2 (or equivalent).
An understanding of supporting learners with additional needs (SEND)
An LSA/TA qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
Strong communication, IT and organisational skills.
