Legal Director/ Partner Role – Corporate Future Energy

London

National Firm, City Office

My clients are looking for a n experienced Lawyer to join the Corporate Renewables team in London at Director or Partner level. This opportunity will enable you to further your renewables M&A experience, working alongside the wider corporate team on general M&A, private equity, and venture capital matters.

Renewables is a key sector for this firm and is supported across a variety of service lines. The Corporate Renewables team is consistently ranked by Clean Energy Pipeline and Inspiratia in the top 10 clean energy M&A teams globally by deal volume.

Your Role

Day to day you will:

· Work as part of a close knit, highly flexible team, in which there are no rigid sub-teams with all team members working with and supporting each other on a range of transactions and on general company law compliance

· Work for a wide variety of renewable clients and will have exposure to a variety of technologies such as wind, solar, battery, AD, hydro, WtE and EVCI amongst others

· Manage a wide range of transactions, including advising on disposals and acquisitions, joint ventures and co-operation agreements and profit share agreements

· Draft and negotiate concepts and arrangements that are complicated, unusual or that may not have been seen in the market before whilst having the full support of both the Corporate Renewables team and the wider Clean Energy team where necessary

Your Skills and Experience

Our employees are talented people, distinguished by technical excellence, with a willingness to embrace team working and a passion for client service. You will be able to demonstrate a similar supportive, flexible and driven ethos and will have/be:

· A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered), with experience in handling clean energy M&A deals. Ideally you will have worked for a highly regarded corporate team on complex national and international mid-market M&A, VC and PE transactions, with clean energy sector experience.

Your Team

The corporate team covers the full UK jurisdiction. Their corporate lawyers have a reputation for providing technically excellent advice combined with commerciality and pragmatism. They advise on a range of complex corporate transactions and regularly support their private, listed and international corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, management buyouts, joint ventures, strategic investments and associated agreements.

One of their key sector specialisms is Future Energy. Immersed in the sector as its grown, this firm has built an unrivalled track record delivering what their clients need so that they can lead the journey to net zero and a more sustainable future. The firm’s network spans the funders, investors, technologists and developers - the enlightened energy companies and the innovators who are creating change.

This firm has been involved in renewables for over 20 years and is recognised as one of the leading UK law firms in this sector, advising on all aspects of clean energy projects.
