JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bar and Event's manager to oversee our bar operations at a vibrate establishment in Battersea, London. This role will run throughout the entirety of the summer season. This role entails overseeing all aspects of hospitality operations within the designated area, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in event management, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in managing bar operations effectively. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the launch and success of an exciting new project in one of London's premier locations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting in the management of:
Build Crew
Bar Managers,
Runners,
Operations & other On-Site Event Teams
Show Days Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage set-up/closure, maintenance, and overall security of on-site operations, including infrastructure, kit and staff welfare.
• Manage day-to-day bar operations, including inventory management, budgets, rota's and KPI's, -working with HOD's to make sure departmental budgets are met consistently.
• Be a Personal Licence Holder
• Coordinate deliveries to/from external contractors/suppliers, artist liaison ensuring accurate recording with the Stock Team
• Act as the primary point of contact for bar managers in the absence of the Senior Event Manager.
• Regularly check in with Bar Managers and On-Site teams to ensure correct staffing levels and coordinate adjustments as necessary.
• Responsible for overseeing the live operation of bars, including managing Bar Managers, staff and crew, implementing streamlined procedures, monitoring and addressing any operational challenges across multiple locations.
• To have expertise in Licensing laws and ensure strict adherence to licensing objectives across the entire site.
• Collaborate with the Senior Event Manager, Project Manager, and Site Teams to address any issues with power, water, access, etc.
• Manage staff and overseeing proactive training for all team members to deliver exceptional customer service
• Adhere to Peppermint Policies, including H&S Policy, vehicle policies, expenses, and staff conduct
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS
ESSENTIAL:
• Problem-solving and management through stressful situations
• Event Management experience
• Able to delegate well
• Good ability to communicate relevant information to all departments involved in the event
• Experience in running teams on Medium/ large scale events
• Working to a high standard and staying calm under pressure
• A keen eye for detail
• Bar Management / Hospitality Experience
• Willing to live and work onsite at events both during and outside regular working hours
• Must be a Personal License Holder
PREFERRED:
• 1 years experience in an Event Manager position
• Experience of working with multiple contractors
• Knowledge of Risk Management
• Familiarity with project planning and risk management tools and techniques
• Full clean Driving License
• Fork Lift License
