🚀 Software Development Manager

📍 Plymouth, Devon, South West | Hybrid (2–3 days on-site per week)

💷 Up to £65,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We’re exclusively partnered with a leading technology organisation in Devon that’s continuing to scale. They’re now looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and mature their engineering function.

This is a hands‑off leadership role, with a strong focus on delivery excellence, quality, and the day‑to‑day management of multi‑disciplinary software teams.

🔑 What you’ll be doing

Lead engineering delivery across frontend, backend, QA, and offshore teams

Ensure consistent, high‑quality releases through strong engineering standards and SDLC governance

Collaborate closely with Product and Technology leaders on planning, prioritisation, and delivery

Own release management and drive continuous improvement in software quality

Support the safe and effective adoption of AI tools to enhance development efficiency

Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture

QA (Manual & Automation)
