Accounts Assistant

Due to growth, a new role has been created in the busy finance team of a service sector company based in Cardiff. Reporting to the Finance Manager and joining a team of four, this is an important role as the company continues to expand.

Applicants will be comfortable working in a high volume transactional environment as well as being experienced to assist with various month end duties.

Accounts Assistant job description

All aspects of the Purchase Ledger function including processing payments, resolving queries, bank reconciliations etc.

Involved with Sales Ledger duties including invoicing clients and credit control.

Posting journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

Assisting with the preparation of Management Accounts.

Gathering information of statutory returns.

Accounts Assistant person specification

Demonstrable experience of working in an Accounts/Finance role.

Comfortable working towards deadlines.

High level ability with Microsoft Office and experience of using an Accounting software, Xero, Sage etc.

Good communication skills and an open demeanour.

Comfortable working in a changing work environment.
